Wednesday Morning

Good morning. I was blown away again this morning by the outpouring of love in seeing over 9,000+ visits to the blog and 37 messages last night after the last update.

Laura and Jon were finally able to see Lindsay sometime around 1:30 AM after a long talk with one of the doctors.

Lindsay's situation as of last night is very critical. While the bypass surgery technically was successful, the challenges that are before her HUMAN SPEAKING seem so huge.

The ECMO cannulae's were moved to the groin and neck. During surgery the team felt that this was the only way to go, however, the circulation of the one leg has been compromised, which is of great concern.

The battle she is fighting has only just begun. Coupled with the infection, she has lost a significant amount of blood, and the next several days will be very challenging, as in any major surgery.

From the HUMAN perspective -- the news is overwhelmingly discouraging, but we don't know what God has in store. I don't have my concordance with me, but two verses that appeared on the blog are -- "Weeping endures for the night, but joy comes in the morning!" "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases ...His mercies are new EVERY MORNING."

To say that we were not all emotionally impacted by the news would be misleading. The news was certainly not what we had hoped for BUT we know that God is at work, and while we do not yet understand or can discern HIS plan and will at this point, we do have confidence that HE IS IN CONTROL.

I believe that I can speak for everyone in that we desire HIS WILL for Lindsay's life. Please pray for strength for Laura and Jon and for all the doctors and nurses tending to her.

Thanks, Warren, for spending the night with Lindsay.

Along with morning joy, the Bible says that God's compassions are new every morning, a sign of his unfailing love. I wish that last night could have been more encouraging from our human perspective, but I am comforted by the vision of a Savior who has experienced physical and emotional pain, and can truly sympathize with Lindsay's family and...with Lindsay herself. If anyone ever knew brokenness, it was Jesus. We have this hope as an anchor for ours souls, firm and secure (Heb. 6:19).

"Because of the Lord's great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is YOUR faithfulness." Lam. 3:22-23

I was reading a little book last night by John Fischer that talks about God's faithfulness... and he shared the words to this old song that we used to sing a LONG time ago that he wrote- "The All Day Song"...

"Love Him in the morning
when you see the sun arising;
Love Him in the evening
'cause He took you through the day.
And in the in-between time
when you feel the pressure coming,
Remember that He loves you
and He promises to stay."

May you find comfort this brand new morning as you see the sun rising... that the SON is present, HE loves you, He has compassion & understanding far beyond our comprehension & He is faithful. Continuing to lift you all in prayer. We love you!

God wakened me several times in the night to pray for Lindsay and for all of you. Our hearts are saddened that the news wasn't more encouraging. I am reminded of Psalm 34:18 "The Lord will draw near to the broken hearted." Just snuggle close to Him. That's what we're doing.
In His mercy,

We are praying for you all daily. I have been studying Romans; and just in the last few days I have been in Romans 8 & 9. I encourage you to know, that there are moments in the day that people are praying for you because the holy spirit is prompting them. Remember nothing can seperate us from the Love of Christ. God, the potter, is working in your life and he is truly doing something wonderful in your lives. We love you, and I am praying for you everytime the spirit prompts.
Romans 8:26-39

I'm praying! Praise God that he is in control even when things seem so discouraging from our point of view.
I ran into this guy on Monday whom I didn't even know. But he knew about Lindsay and said that he would ask for prayer for her at his Bible study Monday night! I am constantly floored by the ever widening network of prayer for this precious little girl! I'm pretty sure she's one of the safest people in the world right now! "Where two or more"? How about thousands instead!
I love you guys!

Good Morning Weltes & Groens,
It has been a tough night. I was just reading from Isaiah 43:18-21 and Isaiah 44:1-5. God is speaking to the people of Israel and he is reminding them of his past deliverence but also his current rescue plan. We do worship the great I AM who is present with us even today.

Forget the former things:
do not dwell on the past.
See I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the desert
and streams in the wasteland.
The wild animals honor me,
the jackals and the owls,
because I provide water in the desert and streams in the wasteland,
to give drink to my people, my chosen,
the people I formed for myself
that they may proclaim my praise.

Our God is an awesome God! He loves us and cares for us and he will not forsake us even unto the end of the age. May His name forever be praised and may His encouragement fall over you today like fresh cool rain in a dry field.

God Bless,

The Pampreen Family

Vic and I have been praying all night and will continue. I keep thinking of Jeremiah 29:11 where God says "I know the plans I have for you (Lindsay and family), plans to PROSPER you and NOT to harm you, plans to give you a FUTURE and a HOPE." May you take comfort in knowing that even as you walk through this valley, you can have peace and fear nothing, because God is with you and with Lindsay. Vic and Mary Lou

Praise God for a successful surgery, His hand was in that - and still is.
I pray that you will know that new compassion and joy. I am thankful that there are so many people to send you encouragement. Be strong and courageous!
Jon and Laura, let us know if you need anything with Tanner. We can come in tomorrow afternoon if you want.

"But now, this is what the LORD says--He who created you, O Jacob [Groen's/Weltes'] He who formed you, O Israel: 'Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweet over you. When you go through the fire, you will not be burned, the flames will not st you ablaze. For I am the Lord, your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior; .... Since you are precious and honored in my sight, and because I love you....Do not be afraid, for I am with you;....'"
We are praying daily for you all and trust God for the blessing! May He keep you ALL WRAPPED IN HIS ARMS! -Love, Paul & Joan

Dear Groens & Welte's,

As I sat to pray for Lindsay this morning, it occurred to me (or maybe God was reminding me) that there are people around the world praying for this beautiful child. He is using her as HIS instrument to bring people to HIM in unity through prayer. She is serving Him and she isn't even aware of it as yet. The day will come when she is strong and you all will be able to tell her of her service to our Lord & Savior. She will know what witnesses her family members have been to all that have seen them and their faith; and she will see the glory that this has brought to our Heavenly Father. Praise Him for all HE's done and what HE's going to do!!
Praying continuously,
Steve & Darlene Bailey

Psalm 57:1-3 (David writing about the time he fled from Saul and hid in the cave) -
"Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy! I look to you for protection. I will hide beneath the shadow of your wings until this violent storm is past. I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me. He will send help from heaven to save me, rescuing me from those who are out to get me. My God will send forth His unfailing love and faithfulness."
