Wednesday afternoon update #4

This is Jan coming right from Lindsay Bear's bedside. Bill and Zach are en route to NJ so I am bringing good news and praising God.
Lindsay's nurse, Moira, backed down her medication to see what movements we could get out of her. WOW.....God is awesome! She moved every part she could possibly move. She even opened her eyes slightly as they are still very swollen. They have brought in the CD player and she is right now listening to one of her favorites, Boz the Bear. They gave her some liquid on a pink spongy thing which she wasn't too fond of. (Sorry to all the doctors and nurses about that, but Granny's talk like that.;) She tried to wave bye-bye as Grandma and Grandpa were leaving and raised her hand when Daddy let it go. Lots of tears for JOY as this is another tiny step forward.
We have a long way to go but we are so grateful to God for HIS faithfulness to Lindsay and us. This is a special place and we are thankful that we are here. The doctors, nurses and everyone here at Children's have been wonderful.
Continue to pray for Lindsay's room mates, Elijah, Logan and new one Emma. Laura and Jon have been such encouragers to these families.
Thanks for your prayers and kind thoughts to Bill and I these last couple of days. It was another teary parting again but know this is where God wants me for right now.
I am praising God for all of you and that HE will work His perfect plan in each of your lives. God is daily using Lindsay's precious little life to bless us all. I love you, Lindsay Bear. (Granny)

Continuing to pray that each of you see God's hand in all of this. We are told to pray without ceasing and I think that with all those praying for each of you, this is what is happening.
Thank you very much for the postings.

Jan,

Once again I have been brought to tears...Thank you God..thank you with all of my heart. I'm sitting at my window seat with the sun shining on me, it's warm and comforting...I feel a little lighter now and warmer...again God thank you!!

Hello pretty girl,

Greg and I prayed for you this morning, this afternoon, and also this evening during grace. Hannah asked God to help you get well and she hopes you feel better soon. Caleb remembered to pray for you today as well while he was at school. Greg, Keith, Dienne, Leah, & I plan to come and see you tomorrow night, I for one would love to see those big bright blues of yours. I think of you often and love you to bits.

Jon & Laura,

I am encouraged by your strengh...how luck Lindsay is to have you for her parents. I will continue to pray for that little empty spot in your hearts to be filled by the love of our Savior...I regulary ask God to wrap his loving arms around you and cradle you there right where you sit. It's funny I know but I feel that in these last 4 weeks that I have grown closer to the two of you and your family. Please give Tanner a super big hug from his friends Caleb, Hannah, & Isaiah, I will be sure to hug him tomorrow.

I love you all very much, may the Lord keep the and shelter the.

with all my love,
Carrie & Family

Lindsay, Jon, Laura, Tanner, Uncle Warren, Aunt Phyl, and the Welte's,
PTL for some good news! Just to let you know the prayer chains in Leota, Edgerton, and Chandler have been very busy lifting you all up to the throne of God! Great is His faithfulness! I like Susie Groen's mental picture of the hospital floor not being big enough to hold everyone praying for Lindsay! Thanks for the updates as we continue to pray!
Love to all,
Lonna, Denny, Katie, Grant, and Corey
PS: hopefully this one goes through. I sent 2 yesterday and they never appeared.

I know this has been a long time to be at the hospital but you are all such a warm example of God's love. I will be praying for those around Lindsay- you all have lots of experience, wisdom and perspective to share with their parents and family.

We remember one summer speaker at Keswick talk about "GO GOD" moments where you just KNOW it is HIS hand at work. We're rejoicing it what He has already done and are praying for yet another "GO GOD" moment!
