Tuesday Morning Update

"But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift up their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the son]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint, or become tired." Isaiah 40:31 -- The Amplified Bible

This is my prayer for Laura, Jon, Tanner, Warren & Phyllis and Jan for today. I could really sense the weariness in their voices this morning when I called for the update.

Late last night they had to do a procedure to further check out the chest and infection. The doctors called the kids for a consent to proceed and then called back to say that everything went well.

We praise the Lord that Morrah (not sure of the spelling) is her nurse today. She is super and was with Lindsay right after her open heart surgery.

The infection is in her blood and will require stronger antibiotics. The infection is more serious than what they first suspected yesterday. They are also needing to change another one of the tubes today.

Needless to say, the battle is going to be long and intense. Would you join me in praying not just for healing, but for strength for today for the family.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but please know that your prayers and encouragement on behalf of Lindsay is much appreciated. Thank you!

When such a unity and abundance of prayer is lifted to our Lord, he will rain down His manna to sustain those in need.

Be blessed knowing that so many are praying for your family. The Lord will sustain you.

I am the sister (and sister-in-law)of Jon and Leah Roth from Dover Baptist and MOPS. My family here in Michigan has been praying, but I didn't look at the blog until this morning. As the mother of a 7 and 2-year-old, I can only begin to imagine what this family is going through. We will continue to hold them up in prayer,and I thank God that He has His arms around them as well.

These verses encouraged and supported us during similar days in our family.
II Corinthians 4:15-18 "All this is for your sakes, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God. Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unsee. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."
We pray that God will encourage and strengthen all of you during these difficult days.

Precious ones,
I know well the weariness of soul and spirit that can overtake you in this sort of battle. The waiting, the watching, the wondering, the wanting it all just to be over and back to normal. It's okay to feel that.
It's okay to go to the Father with all that you are thinking and feeling, casting the burden...the entire burden at His feet.
Lean on Him dear Laura and John. He is there to hold and carry you, His beloved as you watch and pray over your own beloved Lindsay.

Please allow yourselves to rest and to feel what you are feeling (without guilt) knowing that the Father is there to uphold you with His Righteous right hand.
Please allow yourselves to feel His comfort and be restored by His love.
Allow yourselves to be infused with His strength. This is a one moment at a time; one day at a time fight and we are all in it with you and Lindsay.

God's blessing of rest and peace be with you even now.
Still praying,
Steph and Sesk

Dear Jon, Laura, Jan, Bill,

He giveth more grace when the
burdens grow greater;
He sendeth more strength when
the labors increase;
To added afflictions He addeth
His mercy!
To multiplied trials His
multiplied peace.
When we have exhausted our store
of endurance,
When our strength has failed ere
the day is half done;
When we reach the end of our
hoarded resources,
Our Father's full giving is only
begun.
His love has no limit, His grace
has no measure,
His power no boundary known unto
men,
For out of His infinite riches in
Jesus
He giveth, + giveth + giveth again.

Praying for you.
Mary Ella
