Late Afternoon Update

Here is the latest ...

The bronchial scope was not going to be done until 3:30 PM. The plan was NOT to change the ECMO tube and put it in the neck, but to put her on a larger ECMO machine which would increase the flow. Putting her on the larger machine would mean that HER heart would have to do the work for six or seven minutes. That would give them some time to evaluate what HER heart can do.

Laura sounded much more upbeat on the phone this afternoon which is an answer to your prayers.

As I hear information, I will get it on the blog. Thanks!

Yesterday I e-mailed Focus on the Family and asked them to please pray for all of you. This is part of their response.

We’d consider it a privilege to join and support you in prayer for little
Lindsay Groen and her parents, Jon and Laura, and her brother, Tanner. We’ll ask
the Lord to minister to the concerns of your and their hearts and to surround
each of you, the doctors and her care providers with His infinite guidance,
wisdom, and peace as this precious little girl gets healthy and awaits a heart transplant. We’ll also pray that her parents will be
strengthened and encouraged as they persevere through this trial, and as they
lovingly witness to others at the hospital.

You all sound like
very special people, and we’re thankful to get to know you a little better.

Hello Groen's and Weltes,
You know what I am so thankful for all the engineers and computer technicians that are the hands of Jesus that participate in making miracles happen. It was my engineer husband who reminded who made all the innovation possible. God created these wonderful minds and gave them the passion to pursue it. God is a wonderful creator and I'm so thankful for all of you and your special gifts and talents. We all make up the body of Christ here on earth. God is working right now as we pray for his protection and guidance for Lindsay and for her family. God Bless,
Lisa, Frank, & Philip Pampreen

Hi Bill, Jan, Laura, Jon and Tanner. We have been keeping all of you in our prayers. Lindsay is on the prayer lists of Huntingdon Valley Presbyterian Church (PA) and the Colonial Hills Baptist Church (MI). We've been asking everyone to pray for her. We have a wonderful Heavenly Father Who has promised to always be with us, and He has Lindsay in His hands. We pray that you all experience the peace that only He can give as you're going through this difficult time. In Christian love, John and Gail Klein
