Tuesday Evening Update

Lindsay is out of surgery. She is in very critical condition and has lost a significant amount of blood. They were able to do the artery bypass but did not do anything additional with the mitral valve. The "wow" in this would be if the heart would regain its function. Dr. Mayer and his team did an amazing job and we need to pray for strength for them as well as the rest of the team that ministered to Lindsay.

It will be another hour or so until the kids will get to see her. PLEASE PRAY THAT THE LORD WILL STOP THE BLEEDING to the amazement of the doctors. They have closed the chest to hopefully help deal with the infection. It has been a very long day for everyone. Please pray for the kids as they process the news which is obviously not what we were all hoping for at the moment. God is still in control and HE can still WOW us all.

Thank you from the bottom of hearts for praying and supporting the family with your prayers.

Praying as we head off to bed that you are all able to rest despite Lindsay's fragile status. We have been waiting for this news and know too that God can 'wow' us in this. He already has in so many ways. Take care and we'll be eagerly awaiting a morning update. Heal well, sweet Lindsay.

Jon and Laura,
Lydia and I are praying for Lindsay and you constantly. We will continue to do so, knowing that this whole situation is firmly in his grasp.

To you, O Lord, I lift my soul
In you, O God, I place my trust
Do not let me be put to shame
Nor let my enemies triumph over me
My hope is you
Show me your ways
Guide me in Truth
In all my days
My hope is you
I am, O Lord, filled with your love
You are, O God, my salvation
Guard my life and rescue me
My broken spirit shouts
My mended heart cries out...

Brian and I were just sitting here constantly checking her blog and said let's just pray again. We will continue too, I wake up during the night and immediately I think of Lindsay and start praying for her. I'm so grateful she is out of surgery and will be praying for a miracle, which she is. Colin and Morgan prayed tonight together for her. We love you and send you our love, we are also praying for the specifics you asked for and the wisdom for the Dr.'s. I pray you all will get some rest, love and hugs :) Melissa, Brian, Morgan and Colin

Jon and Laura and family -
Rest in the Lord, trust in the Good Shepherd. Psalm 56:3 "When I am afraid, I will trust in thee." Isaiah 40:11 "He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; (that's Lindsay!) he gently leads those that have young. (that's you!)

Thank you Father for bringing sweet little Lindsay Bear through that difficult surgery. We know You will be watching over her through the night, so please give the team, her parents and loved ones much needed rest. And now we all can go to bed trusting you to do what is best for her, and knowing You can stop the bleeding and give her rest and strength, too. We'll be talking with you during the night.

Dear Ones,
God never sleeps but I hope you guys are able to this evening. I just woke up and thought this would be a good time to pray. We are thinking of you all and speaking of you with our Father God often. May his complete peace be yours as little Lindsay rests in his arms tonight. God knows exactly where to touch Lindsay to heal her and we will continue to pray for his healing touch upon her little body.
God Bless,

Jon & Laura,
We have been watching and praying from Mn and Ia. We run into people all over who ask us about Lindsay - Rock Valley, Ia, V&M store, Huiskens Store in Edgerton, etc. My memory work this morning is "But to each of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it." Eph 4:7. Jesus knows exactly how much grace you need and He will give you just what you need. We love you both! Uncle Fenton & Aunt Shirley
