A Smile That Can Brighten Your Day

Oh, how I long to see her smiling back at me with those big blue eyes. Her smile could sure light up a room or anyone's bad and gloomy day. I was just looking through pictures and seeing her smile and her really silly smiles makes me smile. But also makes me miss her even more. I wish I could share every picture we have of her with everyone but I think I will share a few.

We have a new skylight in our bathroom now. The other day Tanner was going potty and I siad something to him about how pretty the sky was with the new skylight. He then asked if Lindsay could see in our new skylight and I told him she sure could. He then became silly and asked if she could see his new spiderman underwear. That made me smile and say yes she could and then we both laughed. Tanner makes me smile when he remembers Windsay and all the fun things they did together. I know that when he talks about her sometimes he gets a big smile on his face. So when you are having a sad and gloomy day just look at these pictures of Lindsay because I know she will bring a smile to your face. I can just see her on Jesus's lap smiling at him and making him smile as well!!!

I can see her sitting on Jesus' lap and making him do "Round Bally" to her and after he's done her saying "gain, gain" :). Or doing this little piggy and her laughing and clapping her hands. Her smile sure can brighten anyone's day!
Love you

As soon as I the blog came up I saw Lindsay's huge smile, and it made my face and heart smile. Thank you for posting these pictures and continuing to give a glimps into your daily life. How awesome is Tanner and his childlike comments? I had to chuckle at what he said. I read that and thought, "how cool is that?!?"

I met your dad and mom this past weekend at Keswick. What a joy it was to introduce myself & my husband to them, and to finally hug a part of your family. I've been longing to do that since the beginning of this precious blog.

Laura, you and your family have become such a huge part of our family. I check Lindsay's blog daily, and have your names on my calendar. All of you are remembered on a daily basis. God is good all the time...all the time God is good!

Hugs and prayers to you, Jon, Tanner and your extended families!

Love,

Explaining the complex in the simplicity of a child's understanding and in so doing making Tanner's acceptance of Lindsay not being with him easier -well done.
Although we know but little of what heaven is like we know in the presence of the Lord there is peace and joy, real peace, real joy.
Some ask what age will we be? The best age. Whatever the question we trust our God and Savior that all will be THE BEST.
Lindsay is experiencing THE BEST in His presence.
Praying for you Laura and Jon as you walk through the valley. LVS

I love the pictures of Lindsay you posted today. They definitely brought a smile to my face! Thanks for sharing them.

Lindsay had some of the cutest expressions I've ever seen and what a beautiful smile! I'll bet she lit up the room when she smiled!

Although I haven't posted for a while, I check the blog daily and you've been (and will be) in my thoughts and prayers every day. I didn't know Lindsay very well, but I do know that she was an awesome little gal! (And what a cutie!) I know you miss her lots and lots.

With love, hugs & prayers,

Susan M.

Please keep the pictures coming! Seeing Lindsay's little smiling face is AWESOME! Tanner is adorable, too. His comment definitely makes me laugh as I look at my own skylights... Laura, you don't know me, but you, Jon, Tanner and Lindsay are very dear to me and I thank you so much for sharing your pain, grief, moments of joy, and constant faith with strangers (technically) like me on this blog. Please know my family and I continue to pray for you and your family always.
Love,

just wanted you to know Laura, that i am still thinking of you and checking your site almost daily to see how you are doing. I wish i had the chance to hear strait from your mouth how you are, and if i can help.

We are nearing Colins 4th birthday-and packing up the house to move. Its a tough move, since we are "leaving" it all behind. I wish i could say, there is an amazing cure for the pain, but there never will be. You can only try to remember all the love and smiles (as we do) and Tanner will keep you going, from now on. Owen did for us, and Ceira does the same now...
Hang in there.
Love always- Sibahan

Well...I have a huge smile on my face!!!

Tanner you crack me up...ha...ha...!

Laura, I see you each night at VBS and it warms my heart to see you smile and play and dance with Tanner. He is so blessed to have you for his mother. I know you must miss Lindsay during fun things like these, cause I do... but I think just like your family. Lindsay is smiling down with those pretty blues and enjoying us while we enjoy ourselves.

Thank you for the new pictures of Lindsay...I love them!!!

I continue to pray for all of you.

Hey Tanner, think of all the fun you have had at VBS this week, you know what...Lindsay is enjoying vacation bible school each and every day with our savior...Jesus Christ!!!

Dear Jon, Laura, and Tanner,
Thank you for continuing to share your hearts and your struggles through this process of grieving. We continue to remember all of you in our prayers. Sometimes it seems like heaven is a long way off when we will see those who have gone ahead of us, but other times, God allows us to see how short this life really is and that very soon we will all be together again rejoicing in all that God has done for us through HIS perfect Son, Jesus. One day we will understand and it will all make sense how perfect HIS ways are. Please know that you are not forgotten and that we will continue to pray for you in the weeks and months ahead.
Sincerely,
Joe & Kim Olachea
