Sunday morning update

Good morning on this Lord's day. Thank you for your faithfulness in checking the blog. Since last Saturday, there have been 5700+ visitors to Lindsay's blog site. That is so encouraging.

Last night the mood was very somber back in Lindsay's room. She is still fighting the infection in her chest and they were having trouble with fluid build up both in her body and in the left side of the heart. Part of the challenge is that they were removing fluids through ECMO which meant her kidneys were not doing as much of the work. They were trying to increase her blood pressure to jump start her kidneys. They talked about the possibility of going in last night to but in a vent to drain the fluid in the heart.

Can I ask you to join us in praying today that the Lord will give us some encouragement? Please pray for on-going strength for Laura and Jon. We are now coming up to beginning the 4th week. Laura and Jan have not left the hospital since the day of surgery.

Thank you again for the many of you who have prayed and encouraged us. We love you.

Dear Bill and Jan,
It was 1987, October 25, our 29th wedding anniversary. Our first grandchild had been born the day before, but because of a very traumatic birth, the doctors told us she would not live through the night or would be severely brain damaged . The last thing I felt like doing was celebrate our anniversary, but our family was there, so we decided to go out to dinner together. That was one of the most precious family dinners we ever had.
I was almost too tired and discouraged to call friends and ask for prayer, but we managed. We didn't have the thousands praying as you do for Lindsay, but God heard our prayers, as tired and discouraged as we felt.
Our granddaughter Kate will be 21 in October; there is definitely no brain damage, and grandpa and grandma have been married for almost 50 years! We love you guys more than words can say, and we are praying God will hear and answer your tired and discouraged prayers in much the same way. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY and keep on praying, and we will do the same. To quote Elisabeth Elliott, "God is already in the future waiting for you."
In His mercy, Glen and Marilyn

Happy Anniversary Bill and Jan!!
Jon and Laura, human words have
no power, but God's Word does!
"My righteousness draws near speedily, My salvation is on the way, and My arm will bring justice
to the nations. The islands will look to Me and wait in hope for my
Arm." Isaiah 5:5
God bless and keep you all.
Lord, in the name of Jesus we ask
for Lindsay's healing; we thank you
for healing her. We thank you for
keeping this family in your loving
Arms, and we praise you in the name
of Jesus. Amen.

We in Charlotte, NC continue to pray for your precious Lindsey, who we don't know but we share together in who we do know, Christ Jesus. May His peace, that transcends all understanding, guard your hearts and your minds and may His Spirit remind you that He is able. May He excite you today with His presence.

Jon and Laura, we are checking the blog as often as we can in IA, and also checking with your dad to know how to pray. People here are also praying for you and our dear Lindsay. We love you all so much.

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Jon and Laura. I am a miracle. I was born with a lot of birth defects and wasn't expected to live after I was born. A surgeon was able to do surgery to keep me alive but he told my mom I would only live until I was in my mid 20's. I'm going to be 56 this year. I wasn't supposed to be able to have any children and we have a miracle of our daughter Tacy I'm trusting God for a miracle in little LIndsay's life. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and precious Lindsay. We pray for God's healing, our acceptance of His will, and for the doctors and nurses treating her.
Love,
Susie and Steve

Happy 34th anniversary Bill and Jan! I bet a know someone that was very happy to see Bill walk in on Saturday. Good job Bill.

Has TAnner gotten rid of his rash or have they figured out what it is? Sorry but I forgot to ask Warren and Phyl at church this morning. We're praying about that too.

mxsbsfdvContinuing to pray-and shared your prayer card at church on this Lord's Day.

Someplace either in SS or church the phrase popped up again "Safe in the arms of Jesus"
and I just praise the Lord that He is holding Lindsay. Praying that He will bring a miracle healing.

Bless you all.

Love, hugs & prayers,
Miriam

So many prayers are with and for all y'all - including the doctros and staff - and especially for Lindsay. May God give you all health and peace throughout this time. He WILL supply all your needs.

I hope Bill and Jan were able to celebrate their anniversary in some manner this weekend.

Take care of your selves. Thanks for all the updates as well.

A brother in Christ.
