Friday Morning Update

Good morning. Lindsay had a good night. The blood infection is under control and we are waiting to hear back on the other cultures.

She is becoming more accustomed to the parayltic drugs, so she has become a little more "wiggly" and so they are needing to give her more meds to keep her quiet.

I guess we are at the place where "no news is good news."

There is a big meeting on Monday with the entire team to try and get answers to the next step questions.

Thank you again for praying, and writing on the blog. For the MANY of you who have not yet left a note -- this is a HUGE encouragement to Laura and Jon. Someone this morning said, "With all the people writing, I don't want to be a pest." Pests right now are a lifeline of encouragement. So pester away!!!

No news is good news, indeed. I am glad she had a good night. I'm encouraged that her body is starting to get used to the drugs used to calm her down. Her normal 2-year old feistiness is showing!

I had an idea for something that might an encouragement for Lindsay's family, friends, and medical staff. If someone could send them a map of the USA, and put it up in her room, push pins could be stuck on the map to indicate the cities/states where people are praying. A great visual to show how the family of God stretches across geographic boundaries.

We are absolutely thrilled to hear the news that sounds so encouraging about Lindsay. Our Lord is amazing and the doctors and nurses are seeing that through your faith and testimony. We are praying hard every day for all of you, and check the blog to see what is happening. Be assured that you all will continue to be in our prayers, and for your sweet little Lindsay.

Love, Milo and Nancy

Good afternoon Groens/Weltes!
I'm still praying for Lindsay's
"old heart" to be completely
healed; and if not, that God's
perfect will be done. Be encouraged
today that our God is an awesome
God. I have a little bookmark which
is hanging in my kitchen. It reads:
Why not pray for great things? We
are asking One who is all-powerful.
Amen!! I'm also praying that your
souls are finding rest in Him. Take care!!

Good Morning Mr. Welte & Zach,
We just have to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the communication you are providing for all of our family( & everyone) so faithfully. It is a blessing beyond measure. We are also amazed at Lindsay's progress & fight for life. PTL. Even though that is what we have all been praying for --our God is so GREAT.
With our love & prayers,

The encouraging news has been such a blessing, as is your continued reaching out to others at Boston Children's.
Let your light so shine and the praise be to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
Praying that Lindsay's strength and yours continue to improve.
Love you all, LVS

Laua & Jon
As you know our prayers are with you all. We are trusting our God to answer. We are praying for Her complete recovery. He loves Lindsay at least as much as we do. The world says do not get your hopes us and you wont feel so Disappointed. The Bible teaches us to put our Faith up and watch how God takes care of our feelings. He can do more abundantly then we can ASK, OR THINK.
With loveing prayers

All the staff and church family here at Faith Baptist Church in Wilmington are praying for you. Perhaps only one or two here have met you all and know Lindsay but it is a privilege to support and encourage your family in prayer.

Dear Laura and Jon,
Well, Bill said it is OK to "pester" you, so here goes.
I'm sure you are so busy with Lindsay that you have little time to think how your little girl is affecting the Christian world. She is on our minds constantly and through her we are just getting a small glimpse of how much our Father loves us and is moved by our prayers and cries for help. The concept is humbling to think that our creator hears our prayers and is touched by our pleas. Lindsay is a visual aide to remind us that God hears our prayers.
We are praying constantly for your little girl.
In His mercy,
Glen and Marilyn

Laura and Jon I love to look words up in the dictionary... well here are two for you folks! I found it interesting that the web site uses God as the example maybe because He is the ONLY example of these words!!

Dictionary.com
om·nip·o·tent
1. almighty or infinite in power, as God.
2. having very great or unlimited authority or power.
3. an omnipotent being.
4. the Omnipotent, God.

om·ni·pres·ent
present everywhere at the same time: the omnipresent God.

He is listenting to all of us and working on Lindsay all at the same time!! Gotta love God!!!

Praising and thanking God -the Lord of all- for the good night, the under control blood infection, for the "wiggly" too. :-)

Praying for the team that will be assembling to discuss Lindsay to all be of one mind and spirit in caring for her.

We will "...keep on praying and waiting upon the Lord, until the sound of the mighty rain is heard...we cannot create the wind or set it in motion but we can set our sails to catch it when it comes, we cannot make the electricty, but we can stretch the wire along upon which it is to run and do its work; we cannot, in a word, control the Spirit, but we can do the things He has bidden us do, that we will come under the influence and power of His mighty breath."

I don't know if any of the doctors know God or not but I pray for them to continue to do all that they know to do, all they can do
-EVERY SINGLE THING- and then under the influence of His Spirit be led to hear, receive and do whatever else He wills for Lindsay.

To be ready if it's a new heart of flesh to replace hers with and/or if it's a completely restored heart, be ready to unhook all the tubes and wires and send her home!!
And then, and then may they also lift their hands toward heaven and praise God!

"Cannot the same wonders be done as of old? Where is the God of Elijah? He is waiting for Elijah to call on Him...A word in our mouths would be as potent to call down the gracious dews and melting fires of God's Spirit..."

So we will continue to call in potent, fervent prayer until......
Rejoicing in Him with you for all that He is doing!!

Dear loved ones, you have been on our hearts and in our prayers over these past weeks. I sent a comment earlier, but it might not have gotten to you. We believe in the power of prayer as has been evidenced over these weeks. God has an answer for all of you and we know that He is your strength and abiding place at this time.

We are praising the Lord with you that she is experiencing strength and stabilizing. God is good.

We have been praying for Lindsay for awhile now and will continue to do so until we hear that she is "up and running" again.

Our hearts and fervent prayers are with you. You will be seeing God at work through your daughter and we will be waiting to hear your stories.

God bless you and your entire family. You are not alone.

Let us know if our church can be of any assistance!!

Dear Jon and Laura,
I’m not sure if you know who I am. I work with America’s Keswick and spend time with Laura’s father Bill. I’ve been keeping up with the condition of Lindsey and want you to know that I’m praying for God’s complete healing for her. My prayer is that God will give wisdom beyond the doctor’s wildest imagination that will enable them to get the answers they need for the next step on Monday.
I will also pray for peace in this time for all of you that you may know “The peace of God, which transcends all understanding” Philippians 4:7.

The first thing I do after work is check to see how Lindsay is. Many times a day her little life comes into my thoughts and prayers. God is so real in this deep trial. Thanks Bill for sharing so personally with all of us, the walk in Christ. The picture of Tanner in front of that big box says it all. lynn

Tom & Carol Munsie from Oklahoma here;
Just want you to know we're praying for all of you and waiting with great expectations with what God will do. In the mean time let the rest of us support you in prayer and you all rest in the Lord as much as you are able.

The Lord must have a very special plan for this little life. We are grateful for all the Lord is doing in answer to prayer - much more than any of us know I am sure. May you continue to be strengthened in the inner man as you pass through this testing of your faith.
Our love in Jesus,
Julius and Gerry from Brooklyn
