Dear Jon, Laura, and Tanner,
I have always loved butterfies, but, I especially look for them now! I can't believe how many yellow ones I have seen since you wrote about that on the blog! I will forever refer to them as "Lindsay Butterfies"! We continue to pray for you daily.
Love,
Bobby, Kelly, Kiera, Garrett, and Leigha Woods (Woodbridge, VA)

Those are great pictures! I woke up praying for you, Jon and Tanner this morning, and God has kept you on my heart all day long. I am so thankful for the Lindsay Butterflies, and pray God continues to bless you with reminders that Lindsay is more alive than we are and so, so happy in Jesus' arms right now!
Love,

Hi Guys,

What a beautiful thought about the butterflies! I was just thinking of your little family today and thought I would check the blog. I wanted to also let you know that we have finally compiled a list of all the people that sent donations to your family for both medical expenses and Lindsay's memorial. I must tell you that it is very long. The gifts for your medical expenses were not deductible, but the gifts for the memorial were deductible. We (Dover Baptist Church) planned on writing a letter to acknowledge those gifts and thank those who gave and explain that all the money went to your family and that the church simply handled the paperwork on your behalf. I was wondering if you would like to include your own personal form letter of thanks as well, if you feel up to it. We will certainly hand over the list of names to you guys, but we wanted to at least acknowledge the receipt of the money and explain the non-deductibility part of the donation. I hope you are all well and we look forward to having you back in church after vacation.

God Bless,

Just wanted to write you a quick note as I am thinking about Lindsay, and saw on FB that you asked for safe travel prayers for your mum and Zach as they drive home today. I am praying for them, and also for you, Jon and Tanner and look forward to a FB update of your mum's/Zach's safe arrival! :)
Love,
Abbie Hackett

Your Lindsay Bear is absolutely beautiful. I know how difficult it is Laura as our little Eden returned to heaven on July 5th after fighting for 4 months with her heart defect. I am so sorry for your pain and for the loss that you feel. I think of you and other mommies in our situation daily and I want you to know that I gain so much strength and courage from your example. Thank you for sharing the beautiful butterfly pictures with me, I needed them today.

My love, Keisa

They are beautiful butterflies - just as Lindsay was so beatiful here. I hope you caught the Focus on the Family broadcasts from a week or two ago. They had 3 broadcasts featuring Steven Curtis Chapman. He finisghed the last one with an acoustical version of Cinderella - changing the last line " and the dance goes on" instead of "and she'll be gone". Isn't that a great thought - that there is no end for those who believe and we'll see her again in heaven.

oops! finished not finisghed. Sorry.

My uncle died recently and my aunt swears he visits her in the form of those little white butterflies. Every time I feel lost or miss him more than I can handle, I see one and I feel at peace.

According to the “Butterflies” chapter in Kwaidan, by Lafcadio Hearn, a butterfly is seen as the personification of a person's soul. And one Japanese superstition says that if a butterfly enters your home, the person whom you most love is coming to see you.

Hold onto to that strength and the beauty God has blessed the world with.
