Lindsay Bear slideshow

Here is a link to view the 25 minute slideshow that my brother Aaron whipped up for the service last night. It ran from 5:30 to 7:30, so if you were not there last night, or didn't come early.....here's the place to check it out.

Jon, Laura and Tanner:
You don't know me but I was directed to Lindsay's site by a friend of your family.

I have tried to image the pain that a parent feels in having to bury a child, and the questions and doubts that flood one's mind when you are faced with having to do so.
As the lump in my throat and tears in my eyes well up; I will try not offer the typical platitudes that someone would at a time like this, even in a christian context. I pray The Holy Spirit of God heal the pain and fill the void that is in your hearts. May you always remember that Lindsay is waiting for you.
"Jesus, I pray you embrace Jon and Laura and comfort them as you have so recently embraced Lindsay when you welcomed her to Your Kingdom. Be their Strength, and their Wisdom in also helping Tanner walk through this shadow stricken valley. Be his Rock, Lord Jesus. Amen."

Wow! I want to quote Carol Smith a friend of KESWICK. When she went to Alaska with the group from KESWICK I'm told she was so in awe of the beauty before her eyes she got up on a pick-nic table and started shouting;
"God!You Done So Good!!!!"

Looking at Lindsay those words come to mind! Dear God Look at that Girl! You done soooo....GOOD!
Thank you for sharing your precious baby girl with us. I will never forget her.
Love to you,
Dina

What a precious little princess~ I love the picture of her with all her babies and purses~ She looked like an explorer and she always had "food" nearby...through my tears, I found laughter staring at your little girl~ I will continue to pray that the Lord would EMBRACE you at this time...

I was laughing through my tears as I watched these precious pictures.
Such a beautiful baby!!
Her experiences were a delight to watch--with her big brother and all the smiles except that one--Make me smile!!
Yes it seemed a lot of food, tools and knew how to handle them, dolls, black eye and so much fun and joy!!

THANK YOU for sharing this... now if I can figure out how to save it!! No I don't have an MP3 or an Ipod-whatever they are. I'm too old!! :)

Continuing to pray for you every time Lindsay comes to mind which so often.

Love you all,
Miriam

Jon, Laura and Tanner,
As many others have said, I cannot imagine what you are going through, but know only that Jesus will get you through it. I watched the slide show, and although I never met any of you (I am in camping and know Bill through that) I want to thank you for letting me be a part of the process of Lindsay's life. From the first I heard about her surgery, until now, she has been on my mind and my heart constantly. Although I don't know that my prayers alone mean anything, I felt that I could be a part along with all those thousands of others around the world who were lifting your family to God on an hourly basis.
I will continue to keep you lifted before the throne of almighty God, knowing that it is only through Him that you will be able to go on without her. She has brightened my life just from seeing all those pictures of her. Thank you Aaron for sharing her with us in this beautiful way.
God bless you all, and hold you tight in His mighty hand, until we all meet together one day in Glory, JoAnne Carroll

Dear Jon, Laura and Tanner:

Thank you for sharing Lindsay's slideshow with us. Your Lindsay was an amazing child. Everything she did she put so much love and spirit into it. Her beautiful blue eyes and adorable smile just melts your heart. We will always pray for your family that God will hold you and give you his strength just as he is holding Lindsay.

The deepest part of my heart was touched when I saw the picture of Tanner holding Lindsay's little hand, as she lay in her hospital bed. I pray that Tanner is doing okay.

I continue to pray for you, Laura and Jon, and your entire family. Thank you for sharing Lindsay with us all.

Dear Tanner, Laura and Jon:

How my heart overflows with love and mercy for all of you. Lindsay was a beautiful child of God and now he is caring for her. How I hurt for all of you. May God tenderly hold each of you on earth as He holds her in Heaven. This is not our home and you will all be together in His time. Great is His faithfulness. I just want to thank you again for your wonderful witness which taught me so much during the last month as it did hundreds of other caring people. My life will never be the same because of a very special child named Lindsay. Love all of you, Joann w. (a Freedom Fighter)

I believe that Lindsay impacted more lives in the short time she was here on Earth than some people do when they are here for many years..

How can you watch this tribute and not be touched? She is such a beautiful little girl. Is, not was, because she is in heaven waiting for you.

I pray that God will sustain you all, especially Tanner, through this all. Now and when he grows up and starts asking some very difficult questions. He was such a great big brother to Lindsay, as shown in this tribute.

People at church have been praying for all y'all and send their condolences.

Dear Jon and Laura,

The tribute is beautiful--Lindsay will forever be in our mind and hearts. She truly is "unforgetable".

We hope to bring Neil and Tanner together when you are ready for visitors. Please let us know.

Our love and thoughts and prayers are always with you and your entire family--

There is a song on the Gaither Vocal Band's new album. The song is titled "When I Cry". I hope to get the lyrics so I can post them on Lindsay's blog. The song touched my heart as I think it will touch the hearts of others.
Jon, Laura, and Tanner our thoughts and prayers are with you and the rest of your extended family. We love you. The Randolphs

Thank you for sharing the wonderful slides of precious Lindsay with us. She is indeed such a cutie, and I could almost hear her laughing in them. She has given all of us who have followed this blog a chance to get to know and love this dear little girl and
her Mommy & Daddy. You have shared your heartaches with us, allowed us to join you in this incredible journey, given us the priviledge of
praying for & with you. Now the hard part lies ahead, but I know the same grace that enabled you to get from moment-to-moment, day-by-day will be there for you to cling to, hope in, rejoice in, trust in,knowing that "He doeth ALL things well." Diane Nichols

As I watch this video for a second time I'm in awe of how God is such a wonderful creator. Thank you for letting my children be touched by this strong and spirited little girl (I think she takes after the general). May God continue to hold you all in His righteous right hand, and embrace his GIANT HUG from his outstretched arms. In my thoughts daily, praying a special blessing on Tanner.
