We apologize for the delay in getting out information. It was a busy night. Granny stayed at the hospital with Lindsay while Laura went back to the hotel for some much needed sleep.

Lindsay had a few episodes last night where her heart rate went up and her blood pressure dropped. With that, many people descended on the room and were working to correct the situation. This is common in post-op heart patients but a little scary for Granny at first. Once she knew what was going on it was better. Lindsay has been put in a sleep mode and her body cooled so that the heart and everything related can begin to heal and get back to a normal rhythm. This will also keep her from moving around. Yesterday she became very agitated when she knew Laura and Jon and family were in the room. She wanted "uppy", "Mommy," "juice". They need for her to be still and thus the "sleep" mode. There are technical terms but we can't pronounce them nor spell them. :)

Today they told us would probably be the worst for us. They will need to flush her body of fluids as it is retaining them. We may see a difference in swelling. As of 1 pm today she will only be out of surgery, 24 hrs. The nurses have said that we need to be patient and after the 48 hr period, things will look very different. Lindsay does respond to Laura, Jon and Tanner's voices and touch, as well as the rest of the family. We will need to keep this to a minimal today.

Continue to pray for Lindsay and Laura, Jon and Tanner and the Groens and Weltes. We can feel your prayers at work. We love you all very much. Thank you for your loving comments. We have all felt encouraged, loved and prayed for by them.

Keswick staff, the waiting room boxes have been a big hit. The notes, cards and letters were of great encouragement to all. Thanks again. :)

I haven't the words...please know that Greg and I prayed very hard the day of Lindsay's surgery, we cried and asked for God to place His loving arms around you and your little ones. Hey, Kids, Here is a note from two old people who share your love and concern so we are now writing to Laura and Jon to reassure you that we are both cocerned and caring about your little family. We know that Our God is in control, I wrote this little poem when Brian was having trouble with the browser.
To Brian in “The Battle with the SERVER!”

When you have worked both hard and long
And everything seems to go wrong
In your heart do you hear the song,
That -- God is LORD of all?

When tiredness drains away your power
As you work on hour by hour
Until failure seems like a tower
Still -- God is LORD of all!

When the pressure mounts with its time restraint
And you feel like you are about to faint
And you are less than ever like a saint
Yet -- God is LORD of all!

When, at night, you lie upon you bed,
On your pillow place your head,
With thoughts of wishing to be dead
While -- God is LORD of all.

This is the thought that came to my mind
God’s Mercies are new, as you will find
In the Morning for God is kind
And – God is LORD of all.

So close your eyes and close them tight
You must sleep throughout the night
Tomorrow, you will feel God’s might
For God IS LORD of all!

Dear Groens and Weltes,

We are praying for Lindsay and all of you. May you all know that "underneath are the everlasting arms," as you wait on Him; He will carry you through each test and trial. His promises are sure - hold fast to His hand.

Love,

the Augustins

Dear Laura, Jon and the rest of the family,
Wanted you to know you've all been prayed for often...especially Lindsay! Tried posting before, but it didn't work! Anyway, I've always had such a heart to pray for Mrs. Welte's family as she prayed for so many of us! Just know that you are all prayed for and loved much! Wish I could be there to give hugs and pray with you as well!
Love, Becky

Hi all-

Prayers to you as on this day after surgery. This seems to always be the yucky day- but 'joy comes in the morning' and tomorrow will be a better day! Hope all is going well- the day of rest and sleeping is good for all to heal. It is amazing to watch God's healing in her little body and I'm sure your family is a wonderful testimony to Him at the hospital.

We're praying and sending lots of love and hugs to all of you.....

Love,

Aunt Sharon, Uncle Matt, Kelsey and Jared
