Tuesday morning update

PROGRESS! ANSWERS TO PRAYER! ENCOURAGEMENT!

Well family and friends, here is some great news. "Output" is still good. The infection appears to be under control. The transplant team is meeting today to discuss moving forward with the Berlin heart!!! Yippee!!

PERSPECTIVE!

The good news is that the Berlin heart appears to be becoming a reality. The surgery comes with major risks as it is another open heart surgery. Bleeding can be an issue. She will need to remain on ECMO for a period after surgery to support the lungs.

All that being said -- I believe we have many reasons to rejoice. Tomorrow it will be a month since the first surgery! Hard to believe! What a journey we have been on together. How we praise God for your standing, sitting, kneeling, in prayer to our great and powerful GOD!

I will keep you posted throughout the day.

I was going to post this on the blog but it got rather lengthy so I decided to send it this way.

It is Tuesday morning and God sent these verses to me I thought I would share them with you. When we are exhausted, which I am sure you are, it is sometimes too much effort to actually look up the scripture is so I have enclosed it for you. I hope it speaks to you as it did for me. It was very calming for me to once again see and hear that God is in control. He made everything and has power and strength to create and heal. He does not grow weary as we do. He renews the strength of those that wait on HIM.

SHHH be silent. Wait on the Lord. He is with you.

Isaiah 40:25-41:1 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society

25 "To whom will you compare me?
Or who is my equal?" says the Holy One.

26 Lift your eyes and look to the heavens:
Who created all these?
He who brings out the starry host one by one,
and calls them each by name.
Because of his great power and mighty strength,
not one of them is missing.

27 Why do you say, O Jacob,
and complain, O Israel,
"My way is hidden from the LORD;
my cause is disregarded by my God"?

28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.

29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.

30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;

31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.

Isaiah 41
The Helper of Israel
1 "Be silent before me, you islands!
Let the nations renew their strength!
Let them come forward and speak;
let us meet together at the place of judgment.

WOW!! Thank you God for answered prayer.

Will pray for the team. I know that God will give them wisdom but I pray they will know His presence in a very special way. And I pray that you all will be trusting God and resting in Him as He goes ahead with Lindsay's healing.

God is Good--all the time! :)

Love, hugs & prayers,
Miriam

Praise the Lord!!! Hallelujah! What great news. What an amazing God we have and what a true fighter Lindsay is.

This scripture comes to me this morning. Matthew 11:28
"Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.
Jeremiah 31:25
"For I satisfy the weary ones and refresh everyone who languishes."

You have all been through so much and I can only imagine how weary you must be. This great news today will renew and refresh your spirits. Take advantage of it and while you are praising God, take a moment to feel His presence. Allow yourselves the time to languish in His love.

Still praying for all of you.
With heartfelt love,
Liz Tompkins

Thank you for allowing me to visit and see Lindsay for a little while last Friday night. As odd as it sounds, I enjoyed my visit and I hope to return soon.

I have to admit though that I feel like a bit of a failure. It was my goal to offer some strength and support during my visit and I am sure that I did neither. I wanted to break down as sson as I saw Lindsay on her bed attached to all the machines.

It struck me at that point how strong you, John and Laura, truly are. I don't know if you always feel that way, but trust me, I think parents with lesser faith would have packed it in and called it quits emotionally by now. Maybe you have gotten to that point, I'm not sure, but if you have you have recovered well by the grace of God.

I wish I could have offered more encouragement while I was there, but I hope it helps you both to know that you are a true inspiration to at least one person and I am sure many more besides me.

Mark 5:36-41

36 As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, He said to the ruler of the synagogue, “Do not be afraid; only believe.”

1. "Oh, that You would rend the heavens and come down, that the mountains would tremble before You!
2. As when fire sets twigs ablaze and causes water to boil, come down to make Your NAME known to your enemies and cause the nations to quake before You!
3. For when You did awesome things that we did not expect, You came down, and the mountains trembled before You.
4. Since anceint times no one has heard, no ear has perceived, no eye has seen any GOD besides YOU, who ACTS ON BEHALF of those who WAIT for HIM."
Isaiah 64:1-4

You have waited and He has acted!!
PRAISE GOD!!
We continue to uplift you all to our great and awesome LORD!

Matthew 7:24-25
Therefore everyhone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the sreams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.

Jon and Laura each time I'm with you I am reminded that your foundation is built on the Rock (God) and he is the one that continues to give you all strength and holding you up. I have to give credit to both ssts of parents cause they did an outstanding job of raising you in a Christian home.

We will continue to pray for all of you. I pray for Lindsay's infection to be gone, her body to regain strength and for you all to know God's comfort and peace and to get some much needed rest tonight.

Love,
Susie and Steve

So much for a little one to go through... so much for the family to endure... Yet, there is God... powerful enough to hold the lightening and thunder in his hand, yet gentle enough to create the butterfly... That's a God I can trust. May the God of power and the God of gentleness hold you all in His hand.

Dear Bill and Family, Friends, Brothers and Sisters in CHRIST, Thank GOD that HE is hearing our prayers for Lindsay. HE did not give us a spirit of fear but of Power and of Love and of a sound mind.( 2 Tim 1:7 NKJV). Together, we have brought this power that GOD has given us through the blood of our Glorious Savior JESUS CHRIST, to GOD in prayer and GOD is listening, and answering. We PRAISE YOU FATHER for your unending love for this little child whom you are with and healing as we are asking. FATHER, I Thank You that you have given us the promise that You answer when we ask, seek, and knock when our motives are good, and when we ask BELIEVING. We ask you LORD to heal Lindsay and bring GREAT HONOR, GLORY, AND PRAISE to YOUR Mighty Name, and WE Thank You for answering now In JESUS name - Amen
