Thursday morning update

Good morning, prayer partners. Auntie Moira reported that Lindsay had a very hard night. She had some issues with heart rythmns and blood pressure that were a great concern. She is stable this morning, but Moira said, "It's time for the Berlin Heart!"

Today is a critical day in terms of the assessment of whether or not they will the procedure. We are asking our thousands of prayer partners, comprised of family and friends from all over the world, to join us in praying that God would allow us to move forward.

Please pray for peace for Laura and Jon today. I know that today is one of those days when your comments on the blog will be most appreciated.

Thanks for partnering with us at the throne of grace ...

There are two things we can be very sure of:
The love of God; especially for His own children.
That God will always do what is right.
We can rest in confidence and assurance with a God like that!

I'll be praying throughout the day that the assessment team will have wisdom concerning Lindsay! I'll be thinking of you all often today and hope and pray that God will give you all peace and joy as you continue to trust in him!

I am pryaing that our good Papa and great Physician would work to His glory today! That His peace would be in Lindsay's room and with her parents. Praying that all things would work together for the good of His children just as He promised!

“O Lord, be gracious to us; We have waited for You. Be their arm every morning, Our salvation also in the time of trouble.” Isaiah 33:2

Will be praying on my way home from workin' last night!

Dear Jon and Laura,
Having been in a similar situation years ago with our little baby girl, waiting moment by moment to find out what is happening next, just know that our hearts and prayers are with you each day. As difficult as it is to go through, it is such a wonderful thing to know we are not alone, that the Lord is with us through every moment, and we can trust Him completely.

I'll be praying for Lindsay and all of you throughout the day (as I and so many others do everyday!), especially that all the parts for the Berlin heart will be ready and all of Lindsay's vitals will remain steady. I remember at times like this I kept my eyes fixed on Jesus, no matter what was going on around me, and I felt like Peter walking across the water towards the Lord!! It makes me think of Twila Paris's song, "Peace, be still". When He spoke those words, "the ocean obeyed". I pray for that perfect peace for all of you that only He can give. We love you all! You're not alone! Janet Jaeger

Neil says, "Good morning, Tanner! Yesterday, I told my friends at school about my friend in Boston! You! I hope to see soon. Tell Lindsay to get better from me!

we continue to lift you up in prayer throughout the day. Our thoughts, prayers and hugs are with you. I've been picturing an image of all your prayer warriors holding hands and standing with you as we pray for little Lindsay, her doctors and the staff at Children's hospital. It brings me to tears. I'm so glad I'm a part of the family of God.
Love ya!

Jon and Laura - the Bible says that the fervent prayers of God's people avails much - even to the point of God healing illnesses! Pray without ceasing, it says, and prayerfully, gratefully bring your requests to God - prayer is the most powerful weapon we have! Knowing that God welcomes and desires our prayer, I will be praying for Lindsay and you and your family today. I love you guys!

Jon, Laura, Tanner, Lindsay, and all of her physical & "praying" family,
We have in our hands another day in which to see the Lord do some amazing things.
Just a few ramdon verses to ponder:
Psalm 62:5-8 "My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defense, I shall not be moved. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God. Trust in Him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah."
Psalm 63:1-7 "O God, thou art my God;early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is. To dee thy POWER and thy GLORY, so as I have seen thee in the sanctuary. Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee. Thus will I bless thee while I live: I will lift up my hands in thy name. My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips: When I remember thee upon my bed, and meditate on thee in the night watches. Because thou has been my help, therefore in the shadow of thy wings will I rejoice."
Psalm 61:1,2,&3 "Hear my cry, O God: attend unto my prayer. From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, WHEN MY HEART IS OVERWHELMED, LEAD ME TO THE ROCK THAT IS HIGHER THAN I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy."

Know that we will be praying for you, the doctors, Lindsay and all of those who have anything to do with her all day today. You are so blessed to be wrapped in God's love and He will hold you with all of his gentle strength and not let you go. The following verse comes to mind this morning.
"The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies." Psalm 18:1-3 May the peace of God be with you.

Jon and Laura,

This is the day that the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.

We know that it must be difficult to rejoice but our Father who reigns in heaven and on this earth is in control of ALL things. We are praying with hope (confident expectation) of God's divine intervention today. Rejoice in the LORD always, and again I say rejoice.

We love you all.

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. --James 5:16
There are thousands of people praying fervent pray for Lindsay and all of her extended family.

Lord, hear our prayers.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. --Isaiah 40:29-31

Remember that the strength of Lindsay and your strength come from the Lord.
Father, I lift Lindsay, her family and all of the health care workers to you. Please renew their strength today.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. --2 Corinthians 1:3-4

God of comfort, You know the struggles each and every one involved in Lindsay's care face today. Walk along side of them, take them in Your loving arms and
comfort them.

If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. --James 1:5-6

I lift the doctors, Laura and Jon to You today and ask that Your wisdom flows into their hearts. Let them know what it is that You want them to do today and act according to Your will.

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. --John 14:27

Lord, please fill them with peace, take away their worries and fears so that they may be secure in all they do today.

All of this I pray in Jesus name, Amen

At the bottom of Jodi Deckers' Emails she has a beautiful saying...

"The Will of God will never take you where the Grace of God cannot Protect you"!

What a powerful knowledge to be able to claim that for ourselves and for Lindsay!
Jon, Laura and family you are, in my eyes perfect examples of this!
May God give you His Peace today!

God kept waking me up all through the night to pray for your little one. Isn't it cool how GOD is in control and how HE can have many of us praying even when we don't know what is going on.
All this to say: Rest in Him!

"Be STILL and KNOW that I am God"
or as the NAS puts it
"Cease Striving and know that I am God"

Dear Jon and Laura,

You all are loved with an Everlasting Love!
Lindsay was knit together in your womb by her Heavenly Father and, He isn't done with her yet!
I can't even begin to understand why God is allowing this, BUT, I Do Know That God is God and HE IS STILL ON HIS THRONE. HE STILL REIGNS!!
I PRAY THAT HIS ALMIGHTY ARMS WOULD BE EVER AROUND YOU ALL, THROUGH THIS.
THIS IS A SONG I HAVE BEEN SINGING LATELY AND IT COMFORTS ME. I HOPE IT DOES THE SAME FOR YOU...
TURN YOUR EYES UPON JESUS, LOOK FULL IN HIS WONDERFUL FACE, AND THE THINGS OF EARTH WILL GROW STRANGELY DIM, IN THE LIGHT OF HIS GLORY AND GRACE...
GOD'S STRENGTH, GOD'S WILL, GOD'S PEACE
