Mid-morning update

Thanks for praying and writing on the blog. The encouragement is needed and helpful.

The good news is that they had to insert a new pic line which resolved the bleeding issues in the left hand. The new line is in her right hand and went in very smoothly.

Moira was pleased that she urinated this morning. Her blood pressures seem to have come under control. The chest xray showed improvement as well.

The Berlin Heart and devices have arrived. That is a huge answer to prayer.
Right now the team has begun their assessments. Pray for wisdom.

Moira shared very openly with Laura that they are reaching a point with some of the meds where there is no further place to go. The medication to control the heart rhythms is at the max point. She shared that if Lindsay were not a Children's Hospital Boston, the medical profession would have probably recommended giving up. We are thankful that God has led us here.

The Lord has reminded me over and over again this morning that Lindsay's life is in HIS hands. While He is using the doctors and nurses as HIS instruments, ultimately Lindsay can't be in a better place. The God who created her in Laura's womb is the God who is giving her breath today.

Under His wings I am safely abiding,
Though the night deepens and tempests are wild,
Still I can trust Him; I know He will keep me,
He has redeemed me, and I am His child.

Refrain
Under His wings, under His wings,
Who from His love can sever?
Under His wings my soul shall abide,
Safely abide forever.

Under His wings, what a refuge in sorrow!
How the heart yearningly turns to His rest!
Often when earth has no balm for my healing,
There I find comfort, and there I am blessed.

Under His wings, oh, what precious enjoyment!
There will I hide till life’s trials are o’er;
Sheltered, protected, no evil can harm me,
Resting in Jesus, I’m safe evermore.

Continuing to pray for Lindsay Bear and for much wisdom for the doctors. Praying you will know the peace that passes understanding as you go through this day.

Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Psalm 61:1 & 2

Love and hugs,

Susan M.

We are sitting in the Kansas City, MO airport waiting for our flight to Sacramento to attend our daughter's college graduation; so what are we doing? Checking on Lindsay, of course! Laura, Jon, and all, this little girl has captured our hearts and caused us to storm heaven for her. Please know that while our bodies are in CA, our hearts and minds will be in Boston with all of you. We will stand faithfully in prayer with you and check the blog frequently. Aren't you glad that God is ultimately in control of all that the future holds?
In His mercy,
Glen and Marilyn

I am sorry that I haven't been leaving more comments but I have been praying and telling as many others as possible to pray also. I have been going to a bible study on the subject of prayer and the one thing that stands out is that we are to keep approaching God's throne until the answer is clear. May God continue to bring peace to you all.

Love, Jen

oh gently lay your head upon my chest
and I will comfort you like a mother while you rest
the tide can change so fast, but I will stay
the same through past, the same in future, same today

I am constant; I am near
I am peace that shatters all your secret fears
I am holy; I am wise
I'm the only one who knows your heart's desires
your heart's desires

oh weary, tired and worn, let out your sighs
and drop that heavy load you hold 'cause Mine is light
I know you through and through; there's no need to hide
I want to show you love that is deep and high and wide

'cause I am constant; I am near
I am peace that shatters all your secret fears
I am holy; I am wise
I'm the only one who knows your heart's desires
your heart's desires

I am constant; I am near
I am peace that shatters all your secret fears
I am holy; I am wise
I'm the only one who knows your heart's desires
your heart's desires

oh gently lay your head upon my chest
and I will comfort you like a mother while you rest

Jon, Laura, Bill, Jan and Tanner,
You are never very far from my heart these days. It looks like things are falling into place to move ahead with the Berlin heart. Praise the Lord. You are in our prayers often. Today during Regan's lunch, Uncle Fenton and I were holding hands, praying for Lindsay - and about half way through the prayer, Regan reached out to hold our hands too - to pray with us for her friend, Lindsay.

Bill, I was going to write out the words to Under His Wings -but you beat me to it. Ps. 91 is one of my favorite Psalms.
Verse 11 "For He will command His angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways;they will lift you up in their hands."
Praying often for you all.
Love you all.

I remember a passage from Psalms, "I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord... Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; yes, wait for the Lord."

I am praying that the decisions made by Lindsay's physicians today will be directed by God - even if they are unaware of His working. Love you guys so much!

still praying for lindsay and praying God will hold you all in the hollow of His Hand. There is a song that I hold on to and I am going to write it here.
when I pause in the hush of His Holy presence/When I'm so sstill I can hear each whispered word/When I pause to pray I enter His cathedral/These are the times when God seems so near. There are times when I cannot feel His presence/When the clouds of doubt obscure the Master's smile/But when I'm still enough to hear His gentle whisper/ Then I know my Lord has been there all the while. This is a song by bill and gloria gaither and it means so much to me.lindsay has touched the hearts of many, and God is still in control.Love you all.Dorene

As today brings many tough decisions I want you both to know that I, along with many, many people are behind you! There are so many of us that love you guys and Lindsay. That includes people you have never met, but have been touched my Lindsay's story! My prayer is that you feel God today and allow him to be your strength as you have for many weeks now. I also pray that he will show the doctors which way to go from here! The doctors and nurses have seen Jesus through you guys! Considering the situation you are in they have to be blown away by that! Anyway~ just know I have been praying and will continue to pray! Love ya, ~Julie

At the top of the Seacoast Christian School Parent Weekly today was this verse-

The Lord will fulfill his purpose
for me; your love, O Lord, endures
forever. Psalm 138:8

We believe along with you that God has a definite purpose for Lindsay's life. He knows the beginning from the end. We are praying for you as you wait to see His purpose for Lindsay unfold.
