Happy Mommy's Day to all

I wanted to send along my wishes for all of our praying Mom's out there today (along with the many praying Dad's) on this Mother's Day. Phyllis (Jon's mom), we miss you and pray that you have a good day spending time with your other children and grandbabies. Thanks for your many prayers and blogs for Lindsay and the entire family. We love you all. God IS, has been, and will be so good to us.
Lindsay did well overnight with her output. PopPop put it so nicely, but Granny and Mommy were so glad that she "pooped" last night. I have never been so glad to hear that news. Her sugars are still high and the chest xray doesn't seem to be any better. We are praising God, though, for the small things.
Praise the Lord for great moms. I had a great and godly mom and mother-in-law who both taught me the love of God and to love His Word. What strength and comfort we have gotten from God's Word, not just in our own devotions and reading but from what you all have been writing on the blogs. Keep it coming. We look forward to hearing from you and what God is teaching you. Below is a poem my mom wrote many years ago when my brother, sister and I were young. Thanks, mom, for your love for us and God. You left us a great legacy and it is being passed on. Love to all, Jan/Granny
MOTHER, I'M HOME
Every afternoon about a quarter to four, the peace and quiet ends with the slamming of the door. And then I hear familiar words in the same familiar tone, "Mother, Oh Mother, Hey Mom, I'm home."
It's "Mother, I got an "A" in Math, and was Mrs. Green a grouch. Hey, can I have a bite to eat." As the coat gets thrown on the couch.
Then there's "Where's my shirt or where's my shoes?" And I just shake my head. "There wherever you last put them before you went to bed.
But the day will come when they'll be gone and have children of their own. To hear the same familiar words,"Mother, Hey Mom, I'm home."
And to me the words will be memories, but one day when God calls His own, I KNOW I will hear my children calling, "Mother, Mother I'm home."
For God gave me the privilege of telling my children the way, and hearing them ask Him to save them and wash all their sins away.
So since each of them KNOW the Master, if first He should call me home, One by one I'll wait for their voices, calling, "Mother, Hey mom, I'm HOME."
Happy Mother's Day, mom, I miss you.

During women's Sunday school we offered prayer for you all...our lesson today given by our blessed leader was on the heart...there are so many scriptures telling us how important the heart is...Lindsay came up a number of times this morning...I have to tell you once again how important you all are to me...let not your hearts be troubled...God bless, melanie Vara (Whiting Bible)

As I sit here and think of you all, I have tears from reading the posts, and you have been on my mind all morning. THinking of you on this special day, Laura, Jan, Phyllis, Jules, and Jenny. Happy Mommy's Day :) Brian and I were sitting in church today and as we were walking in the halls numerous people came up and asked how you all were doing and said they are praying for Lindsay and thinking of you today. So many people have fallen in love with your family and everday God has opened my heart to know more of His love and Lindsay Bear has played a very special part in that journey. We love you all and are praying, I remember 3 yrs. back praying for my baby to poop, so from one Mom to another I'll pray for that and of course the other requests too. We'll check in later. LOVE YOU !! Melissa, Brian and kiddies. Jan, I loved that poem, and Jon, your a great Daddy.

I sat in church this morning and missed not seeing you sitting in front of us. Jon holding little Lindsay and Tanner sitting so nicely beside you both. We missed Warren and Phyl too. I stood while people were singing and prayed for all of you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today.

This was such a sweet post...with a beautiful poem. Even though we've all never met, I have grown to love and appreciate all of you. I know that's because we are all a part of God's family.

Happy Mother's Day, Laura. I have been thinking about you and praying for you today. I pray that today has been restful and beautiful for you. Your strength as a mom has been truly amazing. You truly deserve a wonderful day.

We continue to pray for all of you. Our prayer has been that the Lord's will be done and that He would be glorified.

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26

Reading the Poem Nan wrote made me cry! I wish her along with Me-Ma and Pop-Pop were still around. But I know they are in Heaven! I am so sure that they are (in my head using my imagination) running to God and interceding for us! I am so glad that things are going better today and that Lindsay is showing us what she's made of. She has got some fight in her! Keep it coming Lindsay girl. I love you guys very much! Continue to have a good rest of your Mother's Day! Give her a BIG kiss from us~
Love,~Julie

Thank You Heavenly Father that you not only have the heart of a Father, but a heart of a mother as well. Thank You for the way you are manifesting Your mother's heart through Laura, Jan and Phyllis. Happy Mother's Day to each of you.
Bill, thank you for being real with us and letting us, here in Whiting, witness the purity and genuiness of your faith.
Jon, your words this morning on the blog touched our hearts; we are blessed by the richness of God's grace evidenced in your life.
We continue to storm the gates of heaven, the throne room of the Most High God, on your behalf not because of who we are but because of Who He is.

Laura,

Thank you so much for sharing your mother's poem. You have and are a big encouragement to all of us here at DBC. Sarah was sharing with us how Lindsay gave Gabe a real big hug at the Mops group and how all the kids were crawling on the floor playing follow the Leader type game. We are praying she will be home hugging her buddies again soon.

Happy Mother's Day and we will keep praying for Lindsay and all of you.
Love,
Dan and Judy Venable

Thank you so very much for leaving us such a beautiful poem to read on what I'm sure is a very hard day for all of your family; on what is usually a day we take for granted as we celebrate our mothers and their multiple "jobs" they do without giving it a second thought. The Lord blessed women with a motherly instinct; to love, protect, and defend their children, with ALL of their might. On this Mother's Day it is my prayer for Laura, especially, as she has been on my heart ALL day, that the JOY OF THE LORD IS HER STRENGTH. May He provide you comfort and a special peace which passes ALL understanding. May He give comfort to all of your family who has touched so many people's lifes in a very special way throughtout the past month and on this very special Mother's Day, may the Lord BlESS and SUSTAIN YOU.
Prayers of mine are and will and will be a constant until the Lord's heals Lindsay completely, showing people the power of prayer ! Happy Mother's day Laura and Jan and to all of you praying mothers in Christ.
God Bless, Michelle

Dear Weltes and Groens - My name is Hannah Gibson. I am 10-years-old. I have prayed for Lindsay. I believe that God is using Lindsay to speak out to the doctors and nurses. I like the verse John 14:14 and it says, "If you ask anything in my name I will do it." I will keep praying for you. Happy Mother's Day.

Happy Mother's Day, Laura! You are thought of and prayed for continuously. You are a very special family and I miss all of you. When I think of the passage about entertaining "Angels Unaware," I think of you and your family.

James 1:17 states: "Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him."

In John 14:27 Jesus says: "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

I know this is easier said than done, so I am doubling my prayers for you, the doctors, and nurses. My heart and throughts are with you.

My family down South is always calling to ask about Lindsay. They give their churches updates and check your blog daily.

I love you and miss you. God Bless each one of you.

Hugs In His Name
