Thursday Noon Update

Hold on to your seats ...

This morning Lindsay had her procedure which included the rinse and exploration of the mitral valve and some additional tests.

Dr. Emani reported that the mitral valve is now mild-to-moderate, which is a big improvement from SEVERE! He then shared that he is AMAZED at the way her heart is beginning to show signs of getting stronger!!!

There is a concern about the left lung, so pray about that as well as praying for the eradication of the infection. His theory now is that the infection could have caused the cardiac arrest.

Right now he is suggesting that they begin to back done the ECMO to see how much her heart can do. If this continues to improve, his recommendation is that they allow her to regain strength, and move towards doing the coronary bypass down the road and not even consider the Berlin Heart or transplant.

Laura and Jan said he kept using the word AMAZED and said we moved from the valley to the mountain. He was cautious to say we could be back in the valley in an hour, but he was encouraged.

Laura shared with him that her prayer has been that if God was going to heal Lindsay, that it would be to the AMAZEMENT of the the doctors and that they would be blown away. Jan shared that there are 1000's of people praying for Lindsay, but that we were asking everyone to pray for the doctors and nurses too! They said at that point he was very teary-eyed!

We give God the glory for what HE is doing in Lindsay's heart! Thank you for praying. Don't forget to sign your names!!!

Wow!!! Who can begin to fathom the impact this little girl will have on the spiritual hearts of others, through the AMAZING work God is doing in her physical heart. Praise God for how He is uniting thousands in prayer, that God would be glorified through this trial. This is such AMAZING news!

The lyrics to a Third Day song "Mountain of God" was in my head as I was reading this post. Prise God for what Has done and will continue to do in Lindsay (healing her) and through her by touching many lives with her story.

-Rachel Conway-

Here is the chorus to the song that I mentioned...

"Even though the journey's long,
and I know the road is hard.
Well the one who's gone before me,
He will help me carry on.
And after all that I've been through,
now I realize the truth
that I must go through the valley
to stand upon the Mountain of God."

YAY! I was so excited when Dave called Joe who called me at work to tell me the encouraging news! We've been praying for you...and Joe beat Uncle Warren having Barbie call me by a good ten minutes - Good news travels fast in this family! I'm so excited by this obvious answer to prayer. I've been thinking about the little girl who Jesus raised from the dead when all the neighbors said it was impossible. Praise Him that He chose to do a similar miracle for Lindsay! We'll keep praying for her continued recovery and regaining of strength. My heart is full of joy for you all! Love, Lydia

That is wonderful news! When I read this morning that the doctors were thinking of a coronary bypass, I had to humbly admit that my husband, the engineer, had been wondering about that very thing for days but not wanting to say anything to anyone but me. I kept saying that the doctors must certainly have already considered such a course of action. In fact, when we drove home from Boston on Tuesday evening, we discussed that very topic. It is incredible that Lindsay (and God) have been working so hard all these days to get her to this point while some of us (like me) don't dare to think far "outside the box" and rather limit God to the bounds of human understanding. We'll pray like crazy for that lung!

Jon, Laura, Tanner, and Lindsay,
We have been quiet (knowing you had much on your plate,)but we wanted to assure you that we have been reading the blog, praying throughout the day, and asking our friends to pray. We are so excited for this new turn of events. However, we are not amazed because after seeing the incredible faith of all those connected to Lindsay and knowing the prayers that have lifted to heaven on her behalf, we rested in God's promise to always hear our needs.

We love you, and we are ALWAYS praying for each of you.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! Tim called me during our ladies bible study. We had been praying this morning for Lindsay and all of you. We felt like the group praying for Peter when he showed up at the door. I stopped the lesson, gave the report and we all just started shouting praises to God. We sang and know that we are joining the 1000's of others who are rejoicing with you at this time.

Praise the Lord!! I am so excited I am having trouble working right now!! What a testimony this has been even to those I work with at Doylestown Hospital. My prayer has been that Lindsay's heart would show improvement to the amazement of her doctors before they even unpacked that box from Berlin!!! Bill, you are doing an awesome job keeping everyone posted, we thank you!! Will continue to pray...love to all of you!!!

God inhabits the praises of His people.
My heart fills with joy and gladness as I read the report and then overflows as I read the praise responses of the saints.
We will continue to petition the God of all mercy for more of His glory to manifest itself in the healing of Linsay and in the healing of the other 2 precious souls mentioned....and we will continue to praise Him with our thoughts, our praise, our words, our deeds, etc.
WE ARE PRAISING THE LORD WITH YOU BECAUSE HE IS OH SO MORE THAT AMAZING.
He is:
Elohim -Strong One!
El Shaddai -God Almighty!
El Elyon -The Most High God!

HE IS Jehovah RAPHA the God who heals!
He is Jehovah JIREH the God who provides.

HE IS THE EVER LASTING GOD!!

Praise the Lord! What exciting news! Lindsay is in my prayers when I fall asleep and usually one of the first things on my mind when I wake up in the morning! I will pray that this progress continues and that her infection will go away and her lung will heal!
I was so excited when Phoebe told me about the improvement in her condition--I can't wait to hear anything new!
