Saturday Update

Well here is some good news ...

1. They did a wake test and Lindsay mouthed "Mommy" and was able to squeeze Laura and Jon's hands!!!

2. She is eliminating more fluid!!!

3. The chest xray showed considerable improvement. The nurse said that if her left lung was a 1 today, it is a 6 tonight.

Laura and Jan said the nurses are pretty excited to say the least ... Needless to say, we are "bubbling over with hope" tonight.

God is answering your prayers. Thanks for bombarding the kids with notes today. That has been a HUGE encouragement!!!

Jon & Laura,
Just now our local radio station played "From This Moment". Whenever I hear that song, I think of you guys because it was sung at your wedding. When you promised to love each other in "sickness & health", little did you know that would include your beautiful baby girl! Praise God for the encouraging news this evening!

Praise God for the great news and improvement in Lindsay.

Psalm 46:1-3,7-8a "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though it's waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging... The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. Come and see the works of the LORD."

Praise the Lord for all of these ongoing miracles. Never give up because the devil wins. He wants to steal, kill, and destroy. He wants us to fear and give up. All God wants is us to trust in him and give our burdens to him, so he can take care of his sheep. Jon and Laura, and Ms. Jan you are all in our thoughts and prayers tonight and all the time. Our hearts ache for you, just knowing the emotional rollercoaster that is ongoing during your baby's fight for life. But, we have a Glorious God who wants to comfort us when we go through these times. Let him comfort you. We love you all and pray for continuous positive reports. Let us know if there is anything you need.

Dana and I have been SO busy that we got a bit behind on reading your blog last night and today. Wow; there's been a lot going on! Yesterday, Matt. 18:19 was part of the scripture being discussed in my 7th grade Bible class. We talked about the thousands of God's people who "agree on earth" and are asking God to work in Lindsay's life. They listened very carefully as I reminded them of the numbers of answers God has given since we've all started praying. Lindsay's life is impacting a classroom of twelve and thirteen year-olds in ways I'll never know. We continue to ask God to completely heal Lindsay; "nothng is too difficult for Him!"

Jon: Tonight when your Dad told me about your tender and loving care of your little girl, I remembered a Focus On The Family broadcast when Stephanie Fast told her story about the abuse and living hell she went thru as an orphan in Korea after the Korean war. A big Nebraska farmer and his wife came to Korea and picked her out to her complete unbelief. I still remember her talking about those big hands on that big man, hands made gentle by Christ's love that that not only touched , but radically changed her life. Jon, I believe God is using you to not only touch little Lindsay's life, but also the lives of nurses and and docters and other observers desperately in need of a living example of the powerful love of Christ. May God bless you and your family Jon! Iam proud to be your uncle. Uncle Keith Groen

Dear Jon, Laura, Welte and Groen famiies,

We are SO excited after reading your latest addition! We have been praying for you and for your precious little girl, and for God's miraculous intervention today. Just this morning, Genine Zigrang and I were walking and we spent some time lifting you up to our faithful and loving heavenly father. We are praying that you will have peace and hope and a deep sense of calm that comes from being deeply rooted in our powerful, sovereign and loving God who never makes a mistake. He is able to do more than we could even ask or imagine! I have also been praying that Satan would be kept at bay as he would seek to destroy the hope that lies within you. God is surely making Himself known to so many hospital staff as you shine for Him through this difficult time. The words to a song we've just recently learned really help to focus our hearts and minds on God's purposes in and through our trials and suffering ...."May this journey be a blessing; May I rise on wings of faith. And at the end of my heart's testing, with Your likeness let me wake." We will continue to pray for you and your beautiful little girl, and we will eagerly anticipate hearing more of the "great things He has done"! May you be assured of His presence,His mercies and His faithfulness as you wake to a new day.

With love and prayer,

Kathy and John Noel

Evening, Jon, Laura, Lindsay, Tanner, Uncle Bill & Aunt Jan, Warren, Phyllis~

After being out all morning and not getting home to read the update until about 1:30, I was overwhelmed by the 72 postings from your morning cry for prayer! WOW!!! As I was praying & pondering this I was trying to picture the vast number of people praying & checking the blog-- all joining you at the hospital. I can't fathom how many people that would be and how the mass would fill a room, rooms, auditorium, or stadium!! But our Lord knows exactly how many and He's heard every cry and petition on behalf of Lindsay & each one of you!

And this may sound silly but when we all get to heaven, I'd like to ask God for one brief meeting for all those that have prayed for Lindsay so we could see how numerous we are! And although we all can not physically be with you in Boston... our GOD IS, our prayers ARE!!!

So... I guess I'm "with" you right now! Lots of love & prayers~

Logan Paul Poret's Grandmother sends you and your family all their love and blessing upon the whole family, for we know how hard it is to have good news one minute and bad news the next. But you just have to beleive that through FAITH, LOVE, AND PRAYERS, AND THE HAND OF GOD nothing else matters. Most of the time he keeps us in a trans.

I had put this scripture on Logan's bed the night they said he might would have to have another surgery. Sometimes we beleive in God, but we still live in the flesh. As you know I probaly talk to much, hopefully Logan will be that way too. Ha, by the way we think he said Dadddy several times this evening. Joshua was so excited, and I think Logan is amazed of himself also. God is in control of our children.
tHIS IS THE SCRIPTURE:
Jermiah 29:11-14 says:
"I know the plans I have for you," DECLARES THE LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all of your HEART.

This is what we have to stand on as parents and grandparents, God's word, to help lift each other up. For we trulllly do know what you'll are going through.

To Lindsay's family--you do not know me, but I want you to know I have been praying for Lindsay and all of you. Your blog was shared with me today and I read it from beginning to end, inspired by your faith and strength, yet saddened by all you and Lindsay have been through. I have two sons who were born with congenital heart defects--one with a cleft mitral valve and mitral regurgitation. Today I walked in the AHA's Worcester Heart Walk with a group called Friends With Heart. We raise money that goes towards CHD research and awareness. Today, as I walked for my boys, I held close in thought and in my heart, your lovely little girl, Lindsay. I pray that her precious heart is soon healed.

Thank you for sharing this good news, our God is ABLE!!!
Thank you , Laura and Jon, for asking all to pray for Lindsay's roommates also.
Our minds get so caught up within our little worlds that we just forget that there are many who sit by the hospital bed of their child day after day, watching and waiting for a sign of hope.
Praying for Lindsay and her roomies also. LVS

Hello Precious!

Do you know just how much God loves you? He is holding you and your family in the palm of his hand! Yes he is! I was sent your beautiful blog by a dear friend, and just now at 12:45A.M. am reading it and sending prayers to Heaven for you to be completely and miraculously healed!

God is a great big God and there is nothing too difficult for him to accomplish sweetie! Someday you are going to be able to read all these wonderful letters from people all around the world who saw your picture, and read your story!

I have a little girl too! Her name is Nyssa! (sounds like Melissa) Well, she isn't little like you sweet pea, she is 18, and just returned from a trip to Florida to go to a Todd Bently Revival. She was healed, as were many other people!
Of course you do not have to be at a Todd Bently Revival to get healed! You can be in Boston at a Children's Hospital too!

I want to pray right now for you, and go before Heaven's throne for you!
"Lord Jesus, I come to you in prayer for Lindsay! Father, touch her tiny little body, heal the lung and heart and mital valve, and make her completely whole in Jesus's name. Lord, take care of the family, provide them with all that they have need of, and fill them with peace, joy and hope that can only come from you dear Lord! Amen" "P.S. Lord, move on the hearts and minds of all the doctors and nurses....let them see miracles, and come to know you as their personal Savior! Amen"

Good night little one, I look forward to reading everything on your blog tomorrow when I come home from Church! I will ask our Pastor to pray for you as well! His name is Pastor Steve! He loves to pray for little ones!

Oh, one more thing! there is a song I just thought of, and maybe your family already knows it and sings it to you! It is a Bill and Gloria Gaither song.

I AM A PROMISE

I am a promise, I am a possibility, I am a promise with a capital "P"
I am a great big bundle of potentiality...and I am learning, to hear
God's voice, and I am trying, to make the right choices, I'm a promise
to be anything he wants me to be!
I can go anywhere that he wants me to go, I can be anything that he wants
me to be, I can climb a high mountain, I can cross the deep sea, I am a great
big promise you see!
I am a promise, I am a possibility, I am a promise, with a capital "P", I am
a great big bundle of potentiality....yeah...yeah...and I am learning, to hear
God's voice and I am trying, to make the right choices, I'm a promise to be
ANYTHING GOD WANTS ME TO BE!

Good night Precious! Your God's promise! Love, Ms. Sunnie

I was listening to this song sung by Steven Curtis Chapman this Sunday morning. I wanted to share it with you. It's titled His STrength is Perfect.

I can do all things
Throught Christ who gives me stength
But sometimes I wonder what He can do through me
No great success to show. No glory on my own
Yet in my weakness He is there to let me know

His strength is perfect when our strength is gone
He'll carry us when we can't carry on
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect

We can only know
The power that He holds
When we truly see how deep our weakness goes
His strength in us begins
Where ours comes to an end
He hears our humble cry and proves again

His stength is perfect when our strength is gone
He'll carry us when we can't carry on
Raised in His power, the weak become strong
His strength is perfect, His strength is perfect

May you all have a blessed Sunday. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Get well Lindsay bear.
We love you.

I've been praying for you all and felt led to leave this comment.

To all the family of Lindsay-be encouraged, even though you feel the gravity of the situation, our God is the God who raises from the dead! He has delivered her from deadly peril before, and He will continue to deliver her. Our hope is set on Him.
(2 Cor 1:8-10)

To all blog readers- be encouraged, your are taking part in this miracle. Your paryers are part of the rescue operation, you are partaking in the process with God- the God who loves Lindsay and loves each one of us. The God who loves us so much that He allows us to experience trials that we might FULLY rely on Him and that, through our patient endurance and faith in Him, the world may know and see the power of His mighty hand. (2 Cor 1:11)
