Good morning from Children's Hospital Boston

Well Zach and I arrived at 3:00 AM and it is good to be here writing to you from Lindsay's room. So much has happened since we jumped in the car to head to Boston.

First of all, thank you for praying!!! God is at work, and we are excited this morning to see what this new day holds.

The CT Scan showed that everything neurologically is fine! Praise the Lord. Her CVP's have been stable, hovering around 9.

The Chief of Cardiology called Jon last night to tell him that Dr. Mayer was not in favor of doing surgery today, and wants to try and insert an additional cannula some time today.

The one doctor who popped in this morning said that while we don't know the plan for today, she is in a much better way this morning than she has been!!!

This morning devotional reading from DAILY LIGHT (just Scripture) was filled with messages of hope. I will not list all the references, but included the link ...

Pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or doubting ... Then you shall cry, and He will say, "Here I am!" Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to Him must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder to them that diligently seek Him. Let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind ... He my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is OVERWHELMED; lead me to the rock that is higher than I ... He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my strength is made perfect in your weakness. Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. When I am weak, then I am strong ... O you of little faith, why did you doubt? If you faint in the day of adveristy your strength is small. He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. The eternal God IS your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. Be strengthened will all might, according to HIS glorious power."

We are continuing to hold you all up in prayer. We are told to weep with those who weep and rejoice with those who rejoice. We often think that they are two different people but they can be just one in two different situations. We can trust our Faithful Father to have our best interests at heart.
Loving prayers

Father, be with your children today, especially Lindsay. Hold her close in your hands and help her little body to work. Give grace, rest and peace to Laura, Jon, Tanner and all the extended family. Surround them with people to be your arms, to hold them, and encourage them. Remind them of the 1000s that are praying daily for them all. God you are faithful and loving and we trust in your name. Give the doctors an extraordinary, supernatural, spiritually insightful wisdom as to what to do for Lindsay. We praise you because Lindsay is fearfully and wonderfully made. We ask for healing for her knowing if it is your will, you can do it. We thank you in advance for all you are doing and are going to do in and through this family. In Jesus precious name, Amen and Amen!

We are praying and will continue to pray for you all.

This is a prayer written by Ruth Bell Graham that I prayed quite often while being pregnant and going through chemo and surgeries. I thought of sharing it with all of you a couple of weeks ago but only just found it last night! Maybe God was saving it for today?

Lord, when my soul is weary and my heart is tired and sore, and I have that failing feeling that I can't take it anymore; then let me know the freshening found in simple, childlike prayer, when the kneeling soul knows surely that a listening Lord is there. Amen

You are on our hearts and minds constantly...

Praying, praying, praying for ALL of you today.

With Love, Scott and Jill

Thanking the Father for each bit of encouragment! And seeking His wisdom for all.
"I waited patiently for the LORD to help me, and He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the pit of despair. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along. He has given me a new song to sing, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see what He has done and be astounded. They will put their trust in the LORD."
Psalm 40:1-3 (NLT)
Just had to share those words as they "randomly" came before me twice this morning.
Continuing to Praise, Thank, and Wait with you to the One who can do ALL things.

Dear Laura, Jon, Bill & Jan,

I was reading in my Daily Bread this morning and at the bottom of the page there is a comment that made me think of you all and Lindsay. May it encourage you this morning....
" Under HIS wings I am safely abiding; Though the night deepens and tempests are wild, Still I can trust HIM--I know HE will keep me; HE has redeemed me and I am HIS child." (Cushing) " BECAUSE THE LORD IS WATCHING OVER US, WE DON'T HAVE TO FEAR THE DANGERS AROUND US."
May you know that the LORD keeps you in HIS care today and know that you are all in my prayers!!!! God is with you!!!

Love in Christ, Joan J.

Psalm 5:1-3, "Give ear to my words, O LORD, consider my sighing. Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God, for to you I pray. In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and WAIT IN EXPECTATION."

We're rejoicing with all of you for the good news this morning and will continue to pray for the numbers to drop so the Lord will make CLEAR what the next step should be. Although we will accept God's will in all of this, I have no problem at all boldly and constantly pleading with Him for complete healing for sweet little Lindsay!! You are all loved so much by so many and I echo others' comments that we stand in awe of all of you as ONE family, loving and supporting each other. That's not the way it always is at times like this. May He richly bless all of you and keep you all under His wing "until these calamities have passed by". Still praying, the Jaegers

GOD IS GOOD !! HE had and has a purpose for Little Lindsay Bear's life even before she was conceived ! As she lay in that hospital bed, FIGHTING for LIFE and DOING IT the LORD continues to touch her and show us His miracles, as small as some may be, they are still His way of showing us He is hearing and answering us and our prayers for His precious child. We stand with you today and praise God for ALL He has done and WILL continue to do in Little Lindsay's body and young life. KEEP THOSE #'S DROPPING LORD ! We also praise Him for giving Lindsay's family the strength to keep focused on the Lord and HIS word, believing in Him and not faltering.
Oh, how hard it must be for Jon, Laura and family on days, even hours or minutes,to not ask God "Where are you?", "Why?","How much more do we or Lindsay have to endure?"
It's only human. BUT we who know the Lord, KNOW He has a purpose for ALL He does, to bring glory to His name.
So many people around the country have been praying and fasting for Lindsay. We are all a a part of the family of God and even though we have such heavy hearts for Lindsay Bear's family,we REJOICE and praise His name. How powerful !
It is my special prayer in additon to my existing daily prayers for Lindsay, that God would touch Little Tanner. We forget, Tanner is only 3 years old and has been displaced from his home, friends, routine, toys etc. I am praying a special blessing over Tanner today that the Lord touches him and meets his needs as well. His pictures with Lindsay look so sweet on Easter, with his little hand on his baby sister, another one hugging her in a way only a "big brother" can ! Let's lift Tanner up today as well and remember he is a baby himself as we continue to hold you all up in prayer, especially on such a day filled with unknowns as to the doctors decisions.
We pray for discernment and clarity for the doctors as they study Lindsay's many reports and test results.
May the Almighty Physician show his intervention PRIOR to any action of the medical team today. As we join in prayer together, may you have peace and find rest in His arms Jon, Laura, Bill, Lindsay, Tanner, Bill and Jan.
In Christ's love, Michelle

I got a bracelet!! Great idea and another reminder to pray for Lindsay during the day.

As I was looking at the blog, the words of a Fanny Crosby hymn popped into my head...

Safe in the arms of Jesus,
Safe on His gentle breast;
There by His love o’ershaded,
Sweetly my soul shall rest.

How awesome it is to know that Lindsay is safe in the arms of our loving heavenly Father. Praying for much wisdom for the doctors and for all of you as decisions need to be made. Praying that the Lord will make the way so clear that there will be no question in anyone's mind what is best for Lindsay.

With love and prayers,

Susan M.

One of Genine's co-workers who prayed, knows Boston Children's Hospital well, as her grandaugther was there several years ago, and she knows the struggles you face daily, as well as taking on the emotions of other parents who's children are in the same floor as you. Laura,
It was great to see you yesterday. And I know Aiden and Tanner had a blast playing together. I know I seemed quiet, but only holding back tears. It's so amazing seeing Lindsay and how strong she is. You and Jon are great parents standing by her side! I will continue to pray around the clock for the miracles to keep coming.

I just watched the service for Lindsay tonight. It was beautiful beyond words. The message spoke of it being "well with Lindsay". This was such an encouragement to me to picture her without any pain or sorrow. I ache for you as you grieve the loss of Lindsay abd hold you in prayer. May you find comfort in knowing that it is well with your little girl. I pray that you continue for find that His grace is amazing.
